Racquets Proshop and Stringing Center, based in Winnipeg, MB is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Store clerk. Racquets Pro Shop was founded in 1981 at the Winnipeg Canoe Club. Following the Canoe Club’s closure, the shop was relocated to the Winnipeg Winter Club (Winnipeg’s premiere athletic club). The current staff has over 20 years of combined racquet stringing and sales experience (more than any other pro shop in Winnipeg). Racquets Pro Shop is a proud sponsor of many local tournaments and events throughout the province of Manitoba and serves as the “home shop” for many of the region’s top athletes across all racquet sports. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.
Job Description:

Salary: $12.50 to $15.00 hourly for 8 to 35 hours per week
Employment Type: Part time leading to full time

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates must need standard educational qualifications such as a secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, although having experience is an asset
Work Setting: Specialty shop, Urban area, Sporting goods store
Type of Product: Footwear, Sports equipment, and clothing
Security and Safety: Bondable, Criminal record check

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to operate a cash register
- The candidate should be able to provide advice about merchandise
- The candidate should be able to assist in the display of merchandise
- The candidate should be able to greet customers and discuss the type, quality, and quantity of merchandise or services sought for purchase, rental, or lease
- The candidate should be able to maintain sales records for inventory control
- The candidate should be able to prepare merchandise for purchase, rental, or lease
