Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have educational qualifications such as a High School diploma or equivalency Such as GED
Experience: Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant, practical experience in Supply Chain

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have the ability to lift up to 22 kilograms (48.5 pounds) on a regular basis
  • The candidates should have ability long periods of standing, walking, and climbing ladders, as well as being around warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jackets, hand trucks, dollies, carts, ladders)
  • The candidates should be required to obtain a security clearance and provide proof of qualifications

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have an intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), SharePoint, and PeopleSoft FSCM
  • The candidates should possess experience with warehouse management systems and safety training (Occupational Health and Safety, Safety Data Management systems, Workplace Hazardous Materials)
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment, be highly focused on customer service, and possess a strong learning capacity along with the ability to multi-task
  • The candidates should have a high level of initiative to work independently as needed, a proficient ability to manage business records, and strong attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide superior customer service by supporting approximately 7,000 City employees, including Police, Fire, and Transit, as well as external agencies
  • The candidates should be able to process Clothing Online orders, pick orders using a radio frequency (RF) system, and check and pack orders
  • The candidates should be able to issue the initial uniform for new recruits, including sizing individuals for a proper fit and measuring employees for made-to-measure items
  • The candidates should be able to record all warehouse transactions accurately, timely, and efficiently and issue clothing and equipment to customers according to union agreement rules
  • The candidates should be able to accept returns and exchanges under specific guidelines and verify incoming shipments and organize outbound deliveries
  • The candidates should be able to physically receive and put away inventory and update warehouse management software (WMS)
  • The candidates should be able to conduct ongoing cycle counts and reconciliations, maintain inventory control over 4,000 items and maintain a safe environment, including general housekeeping
