Salary: $16.55 hourly for 16 to 25 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning
Work setting: Supermarket/grocery store
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register, Interact machine, and price scanner
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be accustomed to a fast-paced environment, possess attention to detail, and be able to stand for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should perform tasks with accuracy and have excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility in their approach and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate a cash register, process money, cheques, and credit/debit card payments, and scan items
- The candidates should be able to tabulate the total payment for goods or services, receive payment, and engage in suggestive selling
- The candidates should be able to greet customers, weigh produce and bulk foods, and monitor entrances and exits, requesting proof of payment when necessary
- The candidates should be able to verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products
