Ksan House Society based in Terrace, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Support worker – social services. Ksan House Society is a vital community organization dedicated to providing support and resources for individuals experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, and other social challenges. With a focus on empowerment and advocacy, Ksan House Society offers a range of programs and services including emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, and outreach support. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $25.05 to $28.75 hourly (To be negotiated) for 56 hours bi-weekly
Employment Type: Permanent employment Part time
Location: Terrace, BC
Shifts: Evening
Target audience: Females
Transportation information: Own vehicle and Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Women’s shelter and Community service organization
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic mail and MS Office
Credentials: First Aid Certificate and Food Safety Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience or education in providing services for the homeless population
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client satisfaction when providing services for the homeless and possess efficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and connect with clients
- The candidates should be team players, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and other service providers, and uphold strong values and ethics in their work with homeless individuals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform administrative and office activities, including housekeeping activities, and liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients
