Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years
Credentials: Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity, showcasing precise and coordinated hand movements in performing tasks, and be experienced in handling repetitive tasks, emphasizing precision and attention to detail in task execution
- The candidates should be physically capable of meeting the demands of a physically demanding job, demonstrating stamina and endurance, and be comfortable standing for extended periods, showcasing physical endurance and resilience
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have a strong client focus, demonstrating a commitment to understanding and addressing client needs effectively
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain, and lower-grade mobilizations
- The candidates should be able to apply finger and hand pressure to specific points of the body
- The candidates should be able to explain procedures, risks, and benefits to clients
- The candidates should be able to massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body
- The candidates should be able to suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques
