Work setting: Commercial and Residential
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of handling physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads efficiently
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as part of their duties.
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate in their work
- The candidates should demonstrate dependability
- The candidates should exhibit reliability in meeting job expectations
- The candidates should be effective team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered
- The candidates should be able to mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel
- The candidates should be able to set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base
- The candidates should be able to align and straighten tiles
- The candidates should be able to cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
- The candidates should be able to pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
- The candidates should be able to remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
- The candidates should be able to lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
- The candidates should be able to build under beds and install anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
- The candidates should be able to cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite
- The candidates should be able to install tile strips
