Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a noisy and dusty environment, be accustomed to a fast-paced work environment, maintaining efficiency and productivity, and be capable of handling heavy loads as part of their regular job responsibilities
- The candidates should have manual dexterity, enabling them to handle tasks that require precision, possess attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in their work, and have strong hand-eye coordination, facilitating efficient task execution
- The candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods, as required by the nature of the job, and be willing to work overtime as necessary to meet business demands
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be accurate, ensuring precision and correctness in their work, and be equipped with efficient interpersonal skills, fostering positive communication with colleagues and stakeholders
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, articulating ideas and information clearly and persuasively, and possess excellent written communication, producing clear and effective written materials
- The candidates should be flexible, adapting readily to changing work environments and requirements, be organized, managing tasks and responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner, and be team players, collaborating effectively with colleagues to achieve shared objectives
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to compute dimensions and tolerances and set up machine tools, instruct apprentices, and verify machined parts for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments
- The candidates should be able to program CNC machine tools, read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and machine, fit, and assemble castings and other parts to make metal molds, core boxes, and precision models of the required shape
- The candidates should be able to inspect and test final products, set up and operate electrical discharge machines (EDM), lay out, shape, and assemble patterns of metal, wood, plastic, and other materials from blueprints, models, or templates
- The candidates should be able to position, secure, measure, and work metal stock or castings to lay out for machining, and set up, operate, and maintain a variety of conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
