Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 to less than 3 years
Own tools/equipment: Tools and Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification, Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification, Truck and Transport Mechanic Red Seal Endorsement, and Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be accustomed to working in dusty and noisy environments, able to thrive in a fast-paced setting
- The candidates should possess good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and manual dexterity
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required and be comfortable standing for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate accuracy in their work and excellence in written communication
- The candidates should have a strong focus on client satisfaction, be dependable in their responsibilities, and function well as team players
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication abilities, display flexibility in their approach to tasks, and exhibit reliability in their performance
- The candidates should exercise good judgment in decision-making
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
- The candidates should be able to adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
- The candidates should be able to diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace the unit
- The candidates should be able to repair or replace mechanical units or components
- The candidates should be able to test and adjust units to specifications
- The candidates should be able to complete reports to record problems and work performed
- The candidates should be able to coach and instruct apprentices
- The candidates should be able to review work orders and discuss work with the supervisor
