Truck dispatcher

Lodex Transport Ltd. based in Saskatoon, SK is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Truck dispatcher. Shifts
: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and a repetitive tasker
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be client focus, organized, flexible, and reliable
  • The candidates should be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to monitor personnel workloads and locations, advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems
  • The candidates should be able to dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders, dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations, keep track of shipments
  • The candidates should be able to knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations, maintain vehicle operator work records
  • The candidates should be able to operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment, receive requests for emergency assistance or service
  • The candidates should be able to record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses, schedule assignments, and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
