Shifts: Day, Weekend, Overtime, Flexible Hours, 08:00 to 16:00
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates must need standard educational qualifications such as the Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates must need 1 to less than 7 months of experience
Work Setting: Transportation, Warehouse
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Computer and Technology Knowledge: Dispatch management service software, Mapping, and data visualization software, Monitoring and tracking software, Word processing software, Database software, Electronic mail, Electronic scheduler, Operate GPS (Global Positioning System), and other navigation equipment, Spreadsheet, Switchboard 1-25 lines, Internet, MS Windows
Service Experience: Trucking
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance
Physical Requirements:

- The candidate should be able to ensure the accuracy of completed time sheets, payroll, and other summaries
- The candidate should be able to ensure the proper functioning of equipment
- The candidate should be able to maintain work records and logs
- The candidate should be able to monitor personnel workloads and locations
- The candidate should be able to perform general office duties
- The candidate should be able to provide customer service
- The candidate should be able to advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems
- The candidate should be able to assist with the maintenance of communications equipment
- The candidate should be able to dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders
- The candidate should be able to dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations
- The candidate should be able to do a follow-up on issues with work orders
- The candidate should be able to handle wake-up calls
- The candidate should be able to keep track of shipments
- The candidate should be able to do knowledge of cross-border dispatching regulations and practices
- The candidate should be able to do knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
- The candidate should be able to maintain vehicle operator work records
- The candidate should be able to operate computer-aided communications and dispatching equipment
- The candidate should be able to operate radio equipment
- The candidate should be able to receive requests for emergency assistance or service
- The candidate should be able to record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses
- The candidate should be able to schedule assignments and co-ordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment
