Salary: $21.00 to $23.00 hourly for 40 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment, Full time
Location: Charlottetown, PE
Shifts: Day, Evening, Flexible Hours, Morning
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need any educational qualification.
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses): Candidates must have knowledge of CPR Certificate, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), First Aid Certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Documentation knowledge: Candidates must have knowledge of Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports
Type of trucking and equipment: Tractor-trailer A train
Transportation/travel experience: Local, Provincial/territorial, Short-haul
Security and Safety: Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be required to handle heavy loads Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate should be required to load and unload goods.
- The candidate should be required to perform emergency roadside repairs.
- The candidate should be required to ensure safety and security of cargo.
