Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Shift, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Drive manual transmission vehicle, Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Various locations

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Documentation knowledge: 
Driver logbook
Type of trucking and equipment: Logging, highway
Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio
Transportation/travel experience: Short-haul, Local
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract), Driver’s validity licence check, Criminal record check, Medical exam, Drug test

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be organized, reliable, and judgmental
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
  • The candidates should be able to perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle
  • The candidates should be able to record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption
  • The candidates should be able to tarping and ensure safety and security of cargo
