Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided 
Credentials: Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be capable of handling heavy loads and a large workload in a physically demanding role
  • The candidates should be comfortable sitting for extended periods and able to handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to load and unload goods and operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • The candidates should be able to oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform brake adjustments
  • The candidates should be able to pay and receive payments for goods, perform emergency roadside repairs, and perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
  • The candidates should be able to receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and tarp to ensure the safety and security of cargo
