Salary: $25.00 hourly for 37 to 40 hours per week

Location: 14 JACKSONVILLE DR Brampton, ON L6P 2Z3
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Overtime, Morning
Transportation information: Local, and Short-haul
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Dump truck, and Tractor-trailer
Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports, Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), and Maintenance and repair reports
Communication systems experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, and Trip recorder (on-board computer)
Credentials: AZ class license, and Air Brakes Endorsement
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically fit to handle heavy loads as part of their duties
- The candidates should be capable of performing physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication skills and exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances
- The candidates should exercise good judgment in decision-making situations and be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities
- The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling their duties consistently and work effectively as part of a team, fostering collaboration
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load and unload goods efficiently
- The candidates should be able to obtain special permits and other necessary documents for international cargo transportation
- The candidates should oversee the vehicle’s condition, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage, ensuring proper maintenance
- The candidates should handle payments for goods and perform brake adjustments when necessary
- The candidates should be capable of performing emergency roadside repairs and conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
- The candidates should conduct preventive maintenance on the vehicle as required
- The candidates should communicate effectively with central dispatch, relaying important information
- The candidates should accurately record cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- The candidates should ensure the safety and security of cargo by properly tarping and securing it during transportation
