Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, willing to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods, willing to travel internationally, willing to travel overnight

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Documentation knowledge: Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trip reports
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor-trailer
Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul
Credentials: Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses: Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, driver’s validity licence check, driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate a keen attention to detail in their work and be comfortable sitting for extended periods
- The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks and be able to handle weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and tasks, fostering collaboration and mutual support among colleagues
- The candidates should exercise sound judgment in decision-making processes and exhibit reliability in meeting deadlines and commitments
- The candidates should be highly organized in managing their tasks and responsibilities
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to load and unload goods and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation
- The candidates should obtain special permits and other necessary documents for international cargo transportation
- The candidates should oversee vehicle condition, perform inspections, and maintain equipment such as tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage
- The candidates should conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and manage all aspects of the vehicle
- The candidates should receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo details, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
