Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Morning
Work setting: Help desk, Telecommunications industry and Internet Service Provider (ISP)
Supervision: 3-4 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Computer and technology knowledge: Android, MAC, Linux, Unix, Device drivers, Networking software, Networking hardware, Networking security, Intranet, Internet, Desktop applications, Security software, MS Windows, Spreadsheet, and Wireless networks
Security and safety: Bondable

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • The candidates should be able to meet tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be adept at handling repetitive tasks
  • The candidates should possess a strong attention to detail
  • The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to communicate electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
  • The candidates should be able to consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions
  • The candidates should be able to provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
  • The candidates should be able to collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts
  • The candidates should be able to participate in the redesign of applications and other software
  • The candidates should be able to supervise other technical support workers in this group
  • The candidates should be able to provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
  • The candidates should be able to set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring the proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
