Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a University degree related to any of the following, User Experience, Information Technology, Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering
Experience: Candidates should have 4+ years of experience working as a developer/UX designer using modern front-end languages and libraries including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and Responsive Design proficiency
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience providing design expertise and feedback to help evaluate projects from a brand standard and customer experience perspective
- The candidates should have experience working with a Content Management System (CMS) such as WordPress or SharePoint
- The candidates should have experience using web/app design software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Axure
- The candidates should have experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop and Illustrator
- The candidates should have experience with web accessibility and an understanding of the WCAG 2.0/2.1 and AODA accessibility guidelines
- The candidates should possess extensive knowledge of UX/UI design best practices and industry standards
- The candidates should have experience with SEO, Google Analytics, and heatmapping tools
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to create web designs and incorporate them into the website with the goal of improving the user experience, providing the public with information, and promoting marketing campaigns
- The candidates should be able to enhance the Search Engine Optimization of the website to increase organic search result performance
- The candidates should be able to identify areas of opportunity for improvement in user experience and accessibility compliance using accessibility checker and heat mapping tools
- The candidates should be able to become a subject matter expert on the website, performing administrative tasks such as creating new subsites, reorganizing website navigation, and creating redirects
- The candidates should be able to create new webpages as needed by internal communications and keep the website up to date with information updates
- The candidates should be able to apply User-Centric Design principles by using heat mapping tools to conduct research, creating wireframes and mockups that align with the company’s brand and user’s needs
- The candidates should be able to engage in Front-End Development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to bring designs to life, ensuring functionality, responsiveness, and performance across different devices and browsers
- The candidates should be able to manage content on external and internal websites, regularly updating and maintaining it while ensuring accuracy of information
- The candidates should be able to ensure Accessibility Compliance, making sure web designs and pages adhere to accessibility standards (AODA/WCAG) to provide an inclusive experience for all users
