Downey Potato Farms Inc. based in Melancthon, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Vegetable Packer-Farm. Downey Potato Farms Inc. is a locally owned and operated family company. We operate our packaging on 3rd line Melancthon, just outside of Shelburn Ontario, a short one hour drive from Toronto. We are known to grow some organic and conventional potatoes in very close proximity, with more varieties growing in the Saugeen Valley, Dufferin and Norfolk Counties, and Leamington. We offer varieties of potatoes to fit everyone’s needs, Russet, Red, Yellow, White, in sizes ranging from new crop Minis, all the way to our large Chef size potatoes. With products, we also offer a library of recipes to try out. We offer recipes such as Homefries, Poutine, Stuffed Baked Potatoes, potato pancakes, potato ice cream, and even potato bread rolls.
The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to full time or permanent employment. The candidates have to work in Day, Evening, Weekend and Overtime shifts.

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.

Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset.
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs), Up to 9 kg (20 lbs), Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
