Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should possess a high school diploma, GED, or International equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have 2 years’ experience driving vehicles, which is preferred
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be of legal age and meet local operations requirements to operate a vehicle
- The candidates should have knowledge of package handling principles
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform the coupling and uncoupling of tractor trailers
- The candidates should be able to move and maneuver tractor trailer equipment into position for tractor trailer and package handling operations
- The candidates should be able to prepare work zones with suitable equipment in accordance with current guidelines
- The candidates should be able to assist with organizing specified set-up
- The candidates should be able to unload incoming packages manually or using a machine
- The candidates should be able to check the quantity and condition of delivery units
- The candidates should be able to scan packages using the correct equipment
- The candidates should be able to sort packages according to defined processes (UPS department, destination, etc.) and then store them in the areas provided according to categories
- The candidates should be able to fill out documentation or records and validate information on the appropriate media
- The candidates should be able to reposition vehicles according to the established dock plan
- The candidates should be able to clean the work environment during or after operations
- The candidates should be able to report any malfunctions to the supervisor
