Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have High school diploma, GED, or International equivalent
Experience: Candidates should have 2 years experience of driving vehicles
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should safely operate and maneuver various types of vehicles, including delivery vans and trucks, in different traffic and weather conditions
- The candidates should be comfortable sitting for extended periods while driving and delivering packages
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should meet local age and operations requirements to operate a vehicle
- The candidates should have knowledge of package handling principles
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to perform the coupling and uncoupling of tractor trailers, move and maneuver tractor trailer equipment into position for handling operations, and prepare work zones with suitable equipment in accordance with current guidelines
- The candidates should be able to assist with organizing specified set-up for operations, unload incoming packages manually or using appropriate machinery, and check the quantity and condition of delivery units
- The candidates should be able to scan packages using the correct equipment, sort packages according to defined processes (UPS department, destination, etc.), and store them in designated areas
- The candidates should be able to fill out documentation or records, validate information on the appropriate media, and reposition vehicles according to the established dock plan
- The candidates should be able to clean the work environment during or after operations and report any malfunctions to the supervisor
