Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a master’s degree or equivalent experience in a field aligned with Finance and Administration
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in senior leadership and governance within a medium to large, unionized organization

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should have a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing team, experience in driving organizational change and process improvements
  • The candidate should have the ability to work collaboratively with other senior executives to achieve organizational goals
  • The candidate should have the ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the college’s goals and objectives

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should hold a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or similar designation
  • The candidate should have strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements
  • The candidate should possess excellent strategic planning and organizational skills,  demonstrate proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
  • The candidate should have exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong leadership and team management skills
  • The candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to play a key role in the senior management team, collaborating with the President and other Vice Presidents in strategic planning and decision-making to guide the College toward its goals
  • The candidate should be able to advise the Board of Governors and its Audit and Risk Management Committee on corporate issues such as financial planning, budgeting, policies, and facilities management
  • The candidate should be able to lead multiple departments, including Facilities Management, Finance and Administrative Services, Risk Management, Information Technology Services, and Campus Services, ensuring alignment of administrative operations with the College’s overarching goals and objectives
  • The candidate should be able to ensure the continued financial health and integrity of the College by developing and implementing policies and procedures to optimize funding and control expenditures
  • The candidate should be able to direct the Chief Financial Officer in developing financial models, budget controls, and strategic planning frameworks to maintain fiscal responsibility
  • The candidate should be able to oversee comprehensive financial reporting, providing the President and Board of Governors with accurate analyses and well-informed recommendations
  • The candidate should be able to oversee the College’s endowment fund and operational cash accounts, ensuring sound financial stewardship
  • The candidate should be able to develop, implement, and oversee Facilities Management policies and procedures, ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and renovation of the College’s physical
  • The candidate should be able to contribute to executive-level decision-making regarding facilities and infrastructure as part of the Executive Team
