Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Apprenticeship training: Pre-apprenticeship training, Level one apprenticeship training, Level two apprenticeship training, Level three apprenticeship training, Level four apprenticeship training, Level five apprenticeship training
Credentials: Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding
- The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy area, and dusty area

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints, apply, level and smooth coats of plaster, clean and prepare surfaces, cure freshly plastered surfaces
- The candidates should be able to fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings, fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife, finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in finish coat, if required
- The candidates should be able to measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets, mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency, mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices and trim, position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists, smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
- The candidates should be able to spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings, attach metal or gypsum lath to studs or furring, install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath
- The candidates should be able to install exterior and interior steel studs, install corner beads and wire mesh around beams to which plaster is to be applied
- The candidates should be able to install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools, prepare wall and ceiling layouts
- The candidates should be able to install vapour barriers and thermal and sound insulation, read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications, work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages
