CITY FURNITURE & APPLIANCES (KAMLOOPS) LTD based in Kamloops, BC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Warehouse worker – material handling. CITY FURNITURE & APPLIANCES (KAMLOOPS) LTD offers dining, bedroom, and living room furniture. We also provide electronics, mattresses, and appliances, accent pieces that range from unique lighting designs, area rugs to sculptures and paintings in metal, glass and mixed media. Salary: $20.00 hourly 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment – Full time
Location: Kamloops, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, On Call, Morning
Work setting: Retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs.)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be energetic, hardworking, reliable, and be able to work as a team player
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to build pallets, operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products
- The candidates should be able to make labels and attach to goods, provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to wrap goods, pack and unpack goods, sort, crate and stack goods, organize and maintain inventory
- The candidates should be able to operate computerized inventory control systems
