Work setting: Retail business, On-site customer service
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Dollies and hand trucks, Tow motors, Pallet lifters
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Narrow aisle forklift training, Forklift Operator Certification, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a dusty environment and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be physically fit for physically demanding work and have good manual dexterity
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and handle loads of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be hardworking and excel in time management
- The candidates should be highly dependable, reliable, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to build pallets, load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
- The candidates should be able to operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products, ship orders, pick orders and stock, and wrap goods
- The candidates should be able to pack and unpack goods and operate computerized inventory control systems
