Work setting: Trucking company, Warehouse, Retail/wholesale establishment, and distribution centre
Supervision: 1 to 2 people
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Dollies and hand trucks
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and gloves
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and in confined spaces
- The candidates should be able to work in dusty, hot, cold or refrigerated environments, as well as in noisy, wet, or damp conditions
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle repetitive tasks, and meet tight deadlines
- The candidates should be capable of working under pressure, handling heavy loads, and managing a large workload
- The candidates should be physically capable of demanding tasks, have attention to detail, and possess hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weights ranging from 9 kg (20 lbs) to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to build pallets and load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
- The candidates should be able to weigh materials and goods, make labels, attach them to goods, and provide customer service
- The candidates should be able to pack and unpack goods, sort, crate, stack, transport, and distribute materials and goods
- The candidates should be able to organize and maintain inventory, including organizing inventories using computerized inventory control systems
