Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have Post-secondary education in the field of information systems, computer science, web development, or an equivalent combination of formal education, training and related experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience in web design and development

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should undergo a satisfactory Enhanced Security Check
  • The candidates must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check
  • The candidates should have the ability to travel throughout the province to carry out responsibilities of the position

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with a solid understanding of responsive design principles
  • The candidates should have extensive experience in using Dreamweaver, SharePoint, and other relevant web development tools
  • The candidates should have experience collaborating with stakeholders and project teams to design, develop, and implement technology solutions
  • The candidates should have experience developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • The candidates should have experience managing and training junior-level web developers and possess excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to technical and non-technical audiences
  • The candidates should have strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to respond to changing priorities and meet deadlines
  • The candidates should have the ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail and should possess strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • The candidates should have experience with SEO best practices and web accessibility standards (WCAG)

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for managing, coordinating, and supporting all aspects related to the development, maintenance, and support of internal and external websites and SharePoint sites for Manitoba Justice
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and responsibility in the establishment and communication of policies and practices for the websites
  • The candidates should be able to e possess strong project management skills to effectively manage website development, maintenance, and support projects
