Transportation information: Willing to travel and valid driver’s license
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Type of materials: Stainless steel
Welding techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), orbital, ARC spot, laser, and gas tungsten arc (GMAW) (TIG)
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- The candidates should be comfortable working in noisy environments and demonstrate hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be comfortable with tasks that involve sitting and be capable of standing for extended periods
- The candidates should be capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be organized in their approach and function well as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes
- The candidates should be able to examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications, and operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- The candidates should be capable of fitting, brazing, and torch-straightening metal
- The candidates should be able to operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
