Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Welding techniques: Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Multipass, Brazing, and soldering
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Truck repair, Machinery or equipment repair, and Ornamental work
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Welding helmet
Credentials: Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be a team player
- The candidates should be hardworking
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications, read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes, and determine the weldability of materials
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- The candidates should be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal, and operate hoisting and lifting equipment
