Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications accurately, operate manual or semi-automatic, and fully automated welding equipment proficiently
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes effectively, and examine welds meticulously to ensure compliance with standards
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment skillfully, as well as brakes, shears, and other metal shaping machines with precision
- The candidates should be able to fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal accurately as required, and determine the weldability of materials based on their characteristics
- The candidates should be able to operate hoisting and lifting equipment safely and efficiently, and previously set-up welding machines proficiently for fabricating or repairing metal parts
- The candidates should be able to operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines effectively for bonding metal or filling holes, indentations, and seams
- The candidates should be able to start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines proficiently, and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment for optimal performance and safety
