AUTO WORKS BY LOEWEN provides multiple services like 75 point safety inspection, oil change, wheel alignment, suspension, brake and rotor service, collision repair, paint and bodywork, tire change, wheel balance and tire rotation, taxi safety and mechanical issue diagnosis to satisfy all automotive needs. Our professionally trained staff ensure a memorable and satisfying experience that will leave a lasting impression. We are MPI Accredited and have I-Car Gold Certification. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine, Soldering machine, Spot welding machine
Area of specialization: Auto repair
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
  • The candidates should be able to work in noisy area and odours.
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods
  • The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be client focus, flexible, have efficient interpersonal skills, organized, and be able to work as a team player

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
  • The candidates should be able to fit, braze and torch-straighten metal, determine weldability of materials, operate hoisting and lifting equipment
  • The candidates should be able to operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal
  • The candidates should be able to maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
