Salary: $20.00 to $30.00 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Timmins, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Shift and Overtime
Work setting: Industrial, Manufacture, Vocational or technical high school and CEGEP
Security and safety: Driving record should checked (abstract) and driver’s validity licence should checked
Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Own tools/equipment: Candidates should have tools, steel-toed safety boots
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates need experience of 3 years to less than 5 years
Type of materials: Aluminum alloys, stainless steel and steel, iron and heavy metals
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidate should have hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidate should be able to manually dexter
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be a team player
- The candidate should be able to work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should have knowledge of Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and MIG
- The candidate should have specialization on custom fabrication
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to interpret welding process specifications
- The candidate should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- The candidate should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- The candidate should be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
- The candidate should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- The candidate should be able to operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
- The candidate should be able to fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
- The candidate should be able to operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
