Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 3 to less than 5 years’
Welding techniques: Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW), Flux core arc welding (FCAW)
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, Pressure vessels, Structural construction
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Welding helmet
Credentials: Technical Standards Safety Authority (TSSA) Certification, Pressure Welding Certification, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate, Forklift Operator Certification
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
- The candidates should be able to work at heights, noisy area, odours, outdoors, hot area, dusty area, and confined spaces
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be organized, should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment
- The candidates should be able to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
- The candidates should be able to operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment
- The candidates should be able to operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
- The candidates should be able to operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC), operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- The candidates should be able to maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
