Salary: $18.00 hourly for 37.5 to 44 hours per week

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Area of specialization: Assembly, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and Surface-Mount Technology (SMT)
Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools, micrometers, microscope, power tools, and soldering equipment
Inspection or testing specialization: Finished products

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity, with attention to detail
  • The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors and be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks and weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs), thriving in a fast-paced environment

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication skills and be organized
  • The candidates should exhibit reliability and be team players

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to solder and manually assemble various electronic components on PCBs
  • The candidates should be able to install, mount, fasten, align, and adjust parts, components, wiring, and harnesses to subassemblies and assemblies
  • The candidates should be able to check mechanical dimensions and perform go-no-go electrical tests, as well as perform simple electrical and continuity testing of electronic components, parts, and systems
  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and maintain a clean work area
