Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Area of specialization: Agricultural livestock service, agricultural crop service, dairy cattle, and animal husbandry
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be experienced in beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, corn farming, dry pea and bean farming, hay farming, livestock combination farming, other grain farming, dairy farming, livestock farming, and potato and vegetable farming
- The candidates should be comfortable working in dusty conditions, hot environments, noisy environments, and areas with various odors, and able to work in all weather conditions and dirty environments
- The candidates should have the ability to work independently, be capable of physically demanding tasks, comfortable with repetitive tasks, have excellent attention to detail, and able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling. They should also be able to stand and walk for extended periods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication skills and be organized
- The candidates should be team players and flexible, demonstrating good judgment and reliability
- The candidates should be quick learners
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clear fields of wood and stones, cut horticultural crops, handle animals, and organize tasks to accomplish the work
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, feed and tend animals, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting, clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens, and perform general farm duties
