Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of three years of related and recent experience in providing fundraising support

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have experience in philanthropy and in other fundraising environments
  • The candidates should have experience with fundraising database ARBOR or a related database is preferred
  • The candidates should possess experience administering social media platforms and writing for a web audience
  • The candidates should have experience in conducting basic development-related research is required
  • The candidates should have experience generating/producing a variety of fundraising reports from multiple data sources
  • The candidates should have experience in writing donor/alumni correspondence from non-template documents is essential
  • The candidates should have experience in conceptualizing, planning, organizing, executing, and evaluating events in an advancement or similar environment
  • The candidates should have Demonstrated advanced computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), database, and fundraising software is necessary
  • The candidates should have excellent communication (written and verbal) and strong interpersonal skills are crucial
  • The candidates should have strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills are required
  • The candidates should have superior accuracy and attention to detail are expected
  • The candidates should have a proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • The candidates should have the ability to set priorities and targets and to meet deadlines in relation to frequently changing demands is essential
  • The candidates should have strong experience in an arts or humanities environment and an understanding or appreciation for music and arts cultures is highly preferred
  • The candidates should have advanced computer proficiency with graphic design software (such as Adobe InDesign) is required

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to foster positive relationships with prospective and existing donors
  • The candidates should determine logistical details required for donor mailing campaigns
  • The candidates should assess needs and contribute to the development and implementation of plans for prospect identification, cultivation, solicitation, and recognition
  • The candidates should draft donor acknowledgment and recognition communications
  • The candidates should foster positive relationships with alumni
  • The candidates should determine logistical details and activities for events and/or programming
  • The candidates should maintain information on digital platforms
  • The candidates should direct the work of alumni volunteers/mentors in defined activities
