Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should possess one year of office experience

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates must undergo a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, along with a clear Vulnerable Sector Check, which is required

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to provide initial on-site contact with patients and other staff of the hospital requiring services from physician clinics
  • The candidate should be responsible for communication services and coordinating the clinical appointment process, utilizing a central computerized patient index for all patients entering the hospital, verifying Nunavut Healthcare insurance coverage using the government database
  • The candidate should be able to collect patient data and verify the accuracy and completeness of patients’ demographical and contact information
  • The candidate should be able to book and rebook appointments for patients and physicians, update the appointment books, train new staff, direct patients, and provide Inuktitut/English translation for unilingual patients

Benefits:

  • The candidate will receive a Northern Allowance of $16,008 annually
