Salary: $23.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Location: 100 7th ave south suite 100 Cranbrook, BC V1C 2J4
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Morning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically capable of meeting demanding tasks and able to handle repetitive tasks efficiently
  • The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as necessary to perform tasks effectively

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should exhibit dependability and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication and show flexibility in their work approach
  • The candidates should be reliable and effective team players who adhere to values and ethics

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs, ensuring their well-being
  • The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, fostering holistic growth
  • The candidates should be able to supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective childcare and program implementation
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, supporting comprehensive learning experiences
  • The candidates should be able to lead activities such as telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest to engage and stimulate their development, fostering creativity and exploration
  • The candidates should be able to order supplies and equipment necessary for childcare programs, ensuring resources are available for activities and learning, and maintaining inventory
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records of children’s progress and activities, documenting milestones and achievements
  • The candidates should be able to encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity, nurturing their individuality and self-expression
  • The candidates should be able to guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits, promoting independence and self-care skills, and fostering autonomy
  • The candidates should be able to prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods, ensuring a comfortable and organized environment conducive to relaxation and nourishment
