Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of post-secondary degree
Experience: Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in the relevant field

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess an equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the position
  • The candidates should preferably hold a CFP (Certified Financial Planner) designation or one of the following: Personal Financial Planner (PFP) designation, Wealth Management Essentials (WME) + Financial Planning Supplement, Professional Financial Planning Course (PFPC), or Financial Planning I and II (FP I and II)
  • The candidates should have completed the Canadian Securities Course and be licensed to sell mutual funds (excluding QC or IQPF in Quebec)
  • The candidates should have advanced working knowledge of the financial industry, including current trends and regulations
  • The candidates should have specialized knowledge gained from education and business experience related to financial planning and wealth management
  • The candidates should possess in-depth verbal and written communication skills, able to effectively convey complex information and ideas
  • The candidates should demonstrate in-depth collaboration and team skills, fostering productive relationships and contributing effectively to team goals
  • The candidates should exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of assessing situations and developing effective solutions
  • The candidates should demonstrate in-depth influence skills, able to persuade and negotiate effectively to achieve desired outcomes

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to take a lead in proactively engaging with new and existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to foster loyalty and identify immediate or future opportunities
  • The candidates should be able to implement business development strategies to acquire new business through outbound calling campaigns and cultivating branch referrals and engage customers to expand BMO’s business by initiating contact, scheduling appointments, and forging new relationships within the community
  • The candidates should be able to identify opportunities during customer interactions to generate referrals for personal and commercial banking products personal banking, lending and investments and the achievement of sales and performance targets
  • The candidates should be able to develop and execute a relationship management plan tailored to meet client and develop solutions and provide recommendations based on an understanding of business strategy and stakeholder
  • The candidates should be able to respond to customer investment requests, fulfilling investment product needs aligned with customer goals and referring customers to partners as appropriate
  • The candidates should be able to analyze data and information to derive insights and recommendations for strategic problem-solving and execute tasks to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service
  • The candidates should be able to introduce clients to investment strategies and collaborate with them to set goals and achieve financial milestones using appropriate guidance tools and opportunities to contribute to ongoing improvements in business outcomes and customer experience
  • The candidates should be able to probe to understand customer personal investment and banking needs, integrating marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to offer strategic advice
