Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed a High School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
  • The candidates should be able to follow through and carry out assignments

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess entry-level skills in maintenance and repair procedures, including preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, and troubleshooting
  • The candidates should have knowledge of the proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools related to the job function
  • The candidates should be able to read and interpret documents relevant to the job function and be familiar with FMP policies and procedures
  • The candidates should be proficient in reading and writing English and hold a valid Ontario Class G driver’s license or Quebec equivalent

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform grounds maintenance tasks, ensuring the upkeep and appearance of the property
  • The candidates should be able to carry out related activities as directed under the supervision of the Manager, Grounds and Moving Services
  • The candidates should be able to operate equipment and tools safely and efficiently to maintain grounds and landscaping
  • The candidates should be able to assist in seasonal maintenance, including snow removal, leaf clearing, and other weather-related duties
  • The candidates should be able to comply with workplace safety regulations and standards during all activities
