Salary: $18.50 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 7.5 to 44 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning, 07:30 to 17:30
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Nursery school and before and after school programs
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Student status: Full-time enrollment, and part-time enrollment
Area of specialization: Pre-school education, mathematics, literacy, and curriculum development and evaluation
Teaching format experience: Tutor/one-on-one instruction
Credentials: HIGH FIVE training (principles of healthy child development), First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Child Abuse Registry check, immunization records, and vulnerable sector check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and should be non-smoking
- The candidates should be comfortable with physically demanding tasks and able to handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be punctual, dependable, and reliable
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, possess excellent oral communication skills, and have interpersonal awareness
- The candidates should be flexible, exercise good judgement, and be creative
- The candidates should be team players, uphold values and ethics, and be honest

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and maintain daycare equipment
- The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
- The candidates should be able to engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
- The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours
- The candidates should be able to supervise and coordinate the activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants, and teach dance techniques and artistic interpretation
