Location: 1433 Lonsdale Avenue,North Vancouver, BC V7M 2H9
Shifts: 09:00 to 17:00
Work setting: Federal Court, Legal firm

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as bachelor’s degree
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Computer and technology knowledge: Spreadsheet, Database management, Legal software applications, Information management system, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Access
Court experience: Hearings, Appeals

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to work in air conditioned area

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be accurate, client focus, dependable, organized, and reliable
  • The candidates should have excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, and be able to work as a team player

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to assist lawyers by interviewing clients, witnesses and other related parties, assembling documentary evidence, preparing trial briefs, and arranging for trials
  • The candidates should be able to draft contracts, prepare promissory notes and draw up wills, mortgages and other legal documents
  • The candidates should be able to prepare wills, real estate transactions and other legal documents, court reports and affidavits
  • The candidates should be able to draft legal correspondence and perform general office and clerical duties
  • The candidates should be able to schedule court trials
  • The candidates should be able to co-ordinate administrative services
