Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the French and English Language
Education:Â Candidates should have completion of a Secondary School diploma
Experience: Candidates should have 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in a health care
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have the ability to work with diverse clients and staff and possess effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multi-professional team environment
- The candidates should be reliable, co-operative, and client-focused, as well as motivated team players who show initiative
- The candidates should have the ability to work with clients from diverse ethnoracial and cultural backgrounds, as well as teams and stakeholders, demonstrating high levels of sensitivity and diplomacy
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be considered if they possess a Personal Care Worker Certificate or are in the process of pursuing a certificate, diploma, or degree in a health care discipline
- The candidates should consider CPR certification and effective organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written
- The candidates should have familiarity with clinical care and issues specific to mental health and addiction settings
- The candidates should consider bilingualism (French and English) and proficiency in a second language
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to complete environmental safety scans of the terrace and support staff in escorting patients between units and the terrace
- The candidates should be able to assist with behavioral observations of patients while on the terrace
- The candidates should be able to support other units within the CCC program, performing tasks that include (but are not limited to) environmental safety scans
- The candidates should be able to conduct Q15-minute observations and 1:1 patient observations
- The candidates should be able to accompany clients both within and off the CAMH campus
- The candidates should be able to communicate both verbally and in writing regarding behavioral observations
