Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Nursing
Experience: Candidates should have at least three years of experience in medical simulation facilitation, design, and development
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills, along with sound judgment, an understanding of nursing science, and relevant theoretical and applied knowledge in fields related to nursing science
- The candidates should demonstrate proficiency in the use of instructional, technical, and administrative IT software relevant to the role, skills and experience in supervising students
- The candidates should be a Registered Nurse with a Master’s in Education and a Simulation Fellowship (preferred) and have significant experience coordinating and teaching medical simulation courses
- The candidates should have advanced certification and training in medical simulation, such as INACSL, CASN, CMS, or similar qualifications
- The candidates should possess a current license with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing and without practice restrictions
- The candidates should have BCLS certification and possess ACLS, PALS, or other advanced care certifications
- The candidates should have including operational experience in budget and strategy management
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to report to the Director of the School of Nursing and provide professional and technical expertise in healthcare simulation
- The candidates should be able to offer guidance and advice on healthcare simulation to support health assessment and technical activities
- The candidates should be able to facilitate healthcare simulation within the lab, classroom, and virtual learning environments
- The candidates should be able to support simulation activities at Carleton University, including lab spaces in Kanata North
- The candidates should be able to conduct simulation activities at the Queensway Carleton Hospital as part of the role
