Physical Requirements:

Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be responsible for set up wares for dining outlets and banquets, retrieve and wash soiled wares, transport supplies and food to service areas and assist the Kitchen with plating up of Banquet meals and clean and maintain equipment in Dishwashing/Kitchen/Cafeteria/Compactor/Storage areas
- The candidate should be able to assist in washing pots, pans and other kitchen utensils/equipment
- The candidate should be able to maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards and also ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis
- The candidate should be able to maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended and also monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
- The candidate should be able to use correct cleaning chemicals for designated items, according to OSHA regulations and also set up and organize a workstation with designated supplies and equipment; report shortages to the supervisor
- The candidate should be able to replenish as needed throughout the shift and also check the working condition of the dishwashing machine in accordance with specifications; rectify any deficiencies.
- The candidate should be able to fill the dishwashing machine with specified amounts of designated chemicals. Ensure the temperature level of each cycle is set to standard and also organize the breakdown area for drop off of dirty wares.
- The candidate should be able to remove excess food, debris and film from soiled wares before placing them in the dishwashing machine and also position ware in designated racks correctly and send through the dishwashing machine only when full.
- The candidate should be able to clean only designated wares in the dishwashing machine and also remove washed wares from the dishwashing machine and allow it to air dry.
- The candidate should be able to inspect the cleanliness and condition of all washed wares and rewash wares not meeting standards and also sort, stack and store cleaned wares in designated areas.
- The candidate should be able to handle all wares carefully to prevent breakage and loss and also change dishwashing machine water/filters and refill as specified to ensure all wares are properly cleaned.
- The candidate should be able to stock kitchen lines with designated cleaned wares, utensils and equipment and also clean spills in kitchen and work areas immediately
- The candidate should be able to use designated chemicals, supplies and equipment to clean various floor surfaces (brooms, mops, stripper, buffer, etc.) and also transport mats to the loading dock and clean.
- The candidate should be able to maintain cleanliness and organization of supply/storage closets; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; clean floors; remove items which do not belong and place them in correct areas and also paste polish designated wares.
- The candidate should be able to transport soiled wares from the Banquet service area to the dishwashing station and assist the Dishwasher in breaking down all trays/carts and also perform all other duties as required
