Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, machinery or equipment repair, and cast iron and other metals
Equipment and machinery experience: Brazing machine, gas welding machine, soldering machine, and electrical wiring devices
Security and safety: Bondable
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, perform physically demanding tasks, and maintain attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to exhibit hand-eye coordination, stand for extended periods, and lift more than 45 kg (100 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to show flexibility, stay organized, maintain punctuality, and demonstrate a hardworking attitude
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to interpret welding process specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, and read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
- The candidates should be able to examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications, operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, and operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
- The candidates should be able to determine the weldability of materials, operate hoisting and lifting equipment, and operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
- The candidates should be able to operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal, and maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment
