Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a high School Diploma
Experience: Candidates should have minimum of 2 years as a concrete finisher

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to finish concrete and operate power vibrators

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have prior experience in finishing concrete
  • The candidates should have experience working in construction
  • The candidates should have experience in leadership
  • The candidates should have a growth and development mindset
  • The candidates may be required to undergo a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing, as well as a criminal record check

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to provide support to the concrete crew in completing both Sidewalk and Curb construction
  • The candidates should be able to be responsible for setting up forms, setting curb string, concrete placing, collecting materials, and keeping a clean site
  • The candidates should be able to check forms for accuracy
  • The candidates should be able to direct the placement of concrete into forms and surfaces
  • The candidates should be able to demonstrate knowledge in using hand and power finishing tools
  • The candidates should be able to apply sealing components to cure surfaces
  • The candidates should be able to complete Field Level Risk Assessments before beginning each task
  • The candidates should be able to dismantle forms for pouring concrete
