Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence and Own transportation
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel, and handle heavy loads and weight up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be focused on client needs, efficient in interpersonal skills, and demonstrate good judgment
- The candidates should be flexible, show initiative, be reliable, and have patience
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities, assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling medical equipment, and perform other duties related to patient care and comfort
- The candidates should be able to take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, serve meal trays and feed patients, and weigh, lift, turn, and position patients
- The candidates should be able to deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, make beds, maintain patients’ rooms, and administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas
- The candidates should be able to maintain inventory of supplies, bathe, dress, and groom patients, and transport patients between care facilities, including in wheelchairs or stretchers
- The candidates should be able to answer call signals to determine patients’ needs, administer first aid in emergency situations, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties
