Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Experience: Candidates should have 8 years of experience with data structures or algorithms

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • The candidates should have 5 years of experience managing people and with software development in one or more programming languages, and 4 years of experience leading projects
  • The candidates should have 3 years of experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to lead a team of Software or Systems Developers on projects for users and be directly responsible for uptime
  • The candidates should be able to own the availability and performance of key services and build automation to prevent problem recurrence, automating responses to all non-exceptional service conditions
  • The candidates should be able to lead by example, mentor the team, and establish credibility through quality technical execution
  • The candidates should be able to manage on-call rotations across continents, using a follow-the-sun model
  • The candidates should be able to design, write, and deliver software to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Google’s services
