Salary: $15.20 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 36 to 48 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time

Shifts: Day, Overtime, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation/travel information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence, Public transportation is not available, and Travel expenses not paid by employer
Type of operation: Mixing, Blending, Baking or cooking, Freezing, Cooling, and Canning

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 2 years to less than 3 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Conventional oven
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, handle heavy loads, manage physically demanding work, and demonstrate manual dexterity
The candidates should be able to maintain attention to detail, exhibit hand-eye coordination, stand for extended periods, and bend, crouch, and kneel as needed
The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

The candidates should be able to work as a team player, take initiative, demonstrate dependability, show reliability, multitask effectively, and maintain a positive attitude

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to operate machinery to process and bag, box, or otherwise package food products, perform corrective machine adjustments, and clean machines and immediate work areas
The candidates should be able to set up and adjust processing and packaging machines, wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
The candidates should be able to stock refrigerators and salad bars, sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and remove kitchen garbage and trash
The candidates should be able to portion and wrap foods, package take-out food, handle and store cleaning products, and clean and sanitize the kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
The candidates should be able to operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
