Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience in hog production

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities and complex tasks simultaneously
• The candidates should be able to wear proper PPE and comply with safety requirements and lift 25kg as part of the job requirements
• The candidates should have a valid driver’s license and the ability to commute to a rural work location
• The candidates should be available to work weekends, holidays, and attend alarms on a rotational basis

Other Requirements:

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to assist with all areas of production, including feeding and providing general care for pigs
• The candidates should be able to maintain herd health and ensure a suitable environment for pigs
• The candidates should be able to pressure wash and prepare rooms for use and perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks
• The candidates should be able to complete clerical duties, such as maintaining door charts and inventory trackers
• The candidates should be able to order feed and medication and work as part of a team to achieve specific production goals
• The candidates should be able to adhere to health and safety policies and procedures and follow MLAF SOPs regarding the humane treatment of animals in their care
